B: 1. Contradict means to say the opposite of what someone else is saying, it is SPEAKING AGAINST someone's point.
2. Verdict is a jury's decision about what happened in a legal case. The jurors SAY TRUTH about what happened.
3. Dedicated people don't just SAY they will do something, they actually do it.
4. Clamour is a loud noise, usually made by a crowd with lots of people shouting.
5. A proclamation was traditionally read in the town square by a professional shouter--the town cryer.
6. Acclaim is when people cheer for (or show respect for) someone's achievements...they make noise to show their approval.
7. Diction is word choice or pronunciation...it is the state of the words you choose to write or say.
8. Benediction is the process of blessing someone--you are saying good things about them to God.
9. Dictator is a person who runs a country, usually harshly. He's the guy who tells everyone what to do--he's the one who SAYS :)
10. A person who's predictable is one who is regular in his habits. People could tell you ahead of time what he's about to do.
